October 21st, 2009

Howdy all! I finally have my computer back after my Mom spilled water on the keyboard. I am now in a very nice room with 3 roommates. The one next to me, Martin, speaks really good English and is good dude. Unfortunately, at night there is a chance for monstrous snoring from the other side of the room.

Rehab is going pretty slow as my left arm continues to be stagnant in recovery. I am doing okay mentally, although there is no escaping the harsh realities of paralysis. I really appreciate all of your thoughts. As of now, I am potentially considering moving to the Craig facility in Denver sometime this winter if there is space. I encourage you all to live life to the fullest, and to keep in touch.

  1. Hey Bryce!
Gald to hear of the possibility of going to Craig. I have a good friend who broke his back skiing a few years ago and he did rehab at Craig. He said it was a phenomenal program.
Mikey is so eager to see you in Switzerland in mid-November. By the way, I recently saw a talk on TED (the annual conference of leaders in various fields who give talks on cutting edge ideas) called "Playing Music in your Head". Take a look at this talk by MIT professor of music, Tod Machover, who also invented the technology behind Guitar Hero. Go to TED.COM and search his name.
Hang in there man. I am thinking about you everyday. Sending the vibe.
